1. portraiture and the value you can find by making it look awesome.. do you need more than one canvas to convey to the viewer what you want them to see? (this isn't about just making it look nice.. make it be more... In other words is your portrait more than just an enhanced photograph? Is it more than a snapshot?) If your portrait is simply one of your contact sheet images, you are far from finished. You are required to use Photoshop to make that portrait more than just a picture from your camera. Read through the rubric. You must be altering and combining images to "create" the final portrait.

3. permission slip need to be turned in to me asap. $7 secures your seat on the bus. We will have assignments based on the pictures on this trip, so yes, it's important! If you are not going, you will get the assignment tomorrow during class. Contact sheets for this assignment will be due for everyone on Monday.

4. Portraiture due with graded contact sheets by friday. PSD in N drive. Printed image, graded contact sheet and evaluation handed in as a hard copy. Graded contact sheets will be available Thursday. 12 people have still not handed in their contact sheets (check Skyward). This must be done today. Extra evaluation for the contact sheet is on the shelves of the file cabinets behind the teacher's computer station.
New Assignment:
Fine Art Triptych-a 3 image series that could be displayed together or alone.
Again, you all have a lot of great things to resource but this is created with
brushes and textures.
gruesome/ happy and jolly/ sick/ posterized/ abstract/ real/...think about a theme to
create a starting point. Composition is critical! Create depth, use visual elements to tie 3
canvases together.
